Every patient begins with a full diagnostic evaluation. Treatment follows from what we find — not from a template.
A thorough diagnostic evaluation and family-centered treatment for school-age children and teenagers. Parents are part of the process throughout — you will understand what is being considered and why.
With consent, Dr. Jacob coordinates directly with your child's pediatrician, therapist, and school so that support is consistent across the places your child actually spends their time.
Evaluation and ongoing medication management for adults — including people who have carried untreated symptoms for years, and people navigating a specific hard season: a loss, a diagnosis, a divorce, a career change, a child leaving home.
If you already have a therapist, Dr. Jacob works alongside them rather than around them. If you don't, she can help you find one.
Expert psychiatric management of complex eating disorders — an area where general psychiatric care often falls short. These conditions carry real medical risk and frequently travel with anxiety, depression, or OCD, all of which need treating together rather than in sequence.
Dr. Jacob works as part of the treatment team, integrated with dietitians, therapists, and medical providers, and can advise on whether the current level of care is the right one.
Inquiry and intake. Send a request or call the office. We confirm clinical fit, walk through the out-of-network structure so there are no surprises, and schedule your evaluation.
Diagnostic evaluation. A comprehensive visit of up to ninety minutes — occasionally across two sessions — including collateral information from the people and records that help complete the picture, ending in a formulated diagnosis and treatment plan.
Ongoing management. Follow-up visits, typically monthly, to assess response and adjust treatment, with continued coordination across your care team.
Guiding Minds Psychiatry is a private, out-of-network practice. Fees are published in full so you can plan.

The practice does not bill insurance directly. This structure preserves longer appointments and keeps clinical decisions between physician and patient rather than subject to a claims review.
After each visit you receive an itemized Superbill containing everything an insurer requires. Many patients submit it to their plan for partial reimbursement under out-of-network mental health benefits. It is worth calling your insurer before scheduling to confirm what your specific plan covers.
Payment is due at the time of service. A Good Faith Estimate is available on request, as required under the No Surprises Act.
Tell us a little about what's going on, and we'll be in touch within one business day to confirm fit and scheduling.
